One of the key aims of the Year of Faith is to study the Catechism of the Catholic Church, which has its 20th anniversary of publication in October 2012. In the Diocese of Nottingham Bishop Malcolm will be presenting monthly catechesis sessions, available on YouTube or the video page on this site, throughout the year of faith. These can be used as a focus for group study in parishes and/or individual reflection. This series is called ‘Opening the Door of Faith with Bishop Malcolm’.
The presentations will take us through the flow of the catechism. This is the preliminary outline of the subjects:
October – ‘What is faith?’; November- ‘Mary, Woman of Faith’
December-‘Jesus Christ, Son of God’; January – ‘God the Father’
February – ‘God, the Holy Spirit’; March – ‘Teach us to pray
April – ‘The Resurrection’; May – ‘The Church & the Creed'
June – ‘Sacraments of Initiation’; July – ‘Other Sacraments’
August – ‘Life in Christ- Catholic Social Teaching’
September –‘The Ten Commandments'; October – ‘Christian Prayer’
