September 2010
Parish Pastoral Council Meeting: It was agreed to mark the Pope’s visit by changing our weekend timetable on 18/19th September. Both The Prayer Vigil on Saturday 18th & The Beatification Mass on Sunday 19th at 9.30am will be relayed into St. Joseph’s Church on to a large screen.
Saturday 6pm Mass will continue in St. Bernadette’s but the Sunday Mass in St. Joseph’s will be at 5.00pm on Sunday 19th. Therefore, there will be NO MORNING MASS on Sunday 19th September, although Holy Communion will be distributed during the 9.30am Sunday morning screening.
Both events will be advertised and open to anyone from the local community, and leaflets about The Pope & The Catholic Church will be available for distribution to any enquirers interested in finding our more about Jesus Christ & the Catholic Church. The DVD Series “BELIEVE – reflections on the Creed”, discussion evenings in October & November, [see details elsewhere] is a perfect follow-up for any people wishing to become Catholics or who wish to renew & deepen their Catholic faith. During the Saturday Prayer Vigil we will have a shared table available in the Meeting Room. A List will soon be available for Volunteers to prepare food.
